To keep the scale in good condition, avoid exposing the scale to extreme heat or cold. The scale works best when used within its specifications. Always allow sufficient warm-up time and space for the scale to acclimate to room temperature before using it. Wait 30 seconds before calibration to give the internal components a chance to stabilize. The cleaner the environment the scale, the better it will function. Dirt, dust, moisture, air currents, and proximity to other electronic devices can all cause adverse effects on the reliability and accuracy of the scale. Handle the scale with care and gently add all items to be weighed onto the tray top. Although the scale is durable, try to avoid rough handling, which can permanently damage the internal sensor.
