Experienced jewelers know that cutting ring stock to size is not as simple as "a size 6 is a size 6." The thickness of the stock must be factored in to determine length. Historically, in order to cut ring stock to the correct length, a jeweler would either use a complicated mathematical formula, a chart if they could find it, or simply guess! The Whaley Ring Gauge is simple to use, with no more guess work!

Markings on both sides make this tool easy to use whether you work left-handed or right-handed.

1. Measure the thickness. 2. Prepare to cut. 3. Cut the first straight edge. 4. Place newly cut edge on desired ring size. Make 2nd Cut. 5. Ring stock ready to form a finished band!
